What is the duration of the Federal interest?

The Federal interest in a project funded by LRFA grant funds loaned by a state to a recipient lasts until the funds are fully repaid (at that point they are back with the state and eligible to be loaned or granted again with our consent). More specifically, the Federal interest in a project funded by LRFA state grant funds granted by a state to the recipient lasts indefinitely.
