landscape.

How to Apply:

Applications for competitive discretionary grants must be submitted electronically to Grantsolutions.gov . Grants.Gov allows organizations to find and apply electronically for competitive grant opportunities and cooperative agreements from all Federal grant-making agencies, as well as modifications to current grants or cooperative agreements.

There are three preliminary steps required before registering with and then using Grantsolutions.gov.

First , a prospective grantee must have a Dun and Bradstreet number (DUNS). If your organization does not have a DUNS number, one can be obtained telephonically at (866) 705-5711 or by visiting https://eupdate.dnb.com .

Second , the organization must be registered in the Federal government's Central Contractor Registry (CCR) found at http://www.ccr.gov . Please note, CCR registration cannot be completed without a DUNS number.

Third , in order to view grant application instructions and complete an application, you will also need to download and install Pure Edge Viewer (http://atweb.grants.gov/DownloadViewer ) in order to use the Grants.gov website. This small, free program will allow you to access, complete, and submit electronic applications through the website securely. These processes will take approximately 10 minutes each and are all free of charge.

The FRA Office of Acquisition and Grant Services (RAD-30) will not accept paper grant applications. All grant applications for these postings must be submitted electronically through the website.

Please confirm all Grants.gov submissions by sending an e-mail to paxrail@dot.gov . For more information on applying for funds, please refer to the Notice of Funding Availability and Solicitation of Applications.
