Mission

The Federal Railroad Administration’s Office of Financial Services directs and coordinates financial management, accounting, and disbursing activities for FRA which includes: developing, implementing, and administering financial management procedures and standards. The Office of Financial Services two functional teams, the Accounting Operations Team and the Systems Accounting Team activities includes:

· developing and implementing financial management policies and procedures;
· maintaining and updating FRA's portion of the DELPHI system;
· performing the examination and certification function for claims received and payments made by FRA;
· maintaining general ledger accounts for all appropriations and funds for the preparation and submission of   required financial statements and management reports;
· monitoring financial management plans in the areas of fund control, cash management, and debt collection;
· developing financial controls and procedures that help to prevent fraud and misuses of agency’s  funds.
