ABSTRACT: A track survey device was designed, built and operated to measure the geometry of the FRA Linear Induction Motor Test Track at Pueblo, Colorado. A laser beam is used for the measurement of profile and alignment; an electronic level for the measurement of superrelation and mechanical sensors for both support rail and reaction rail gages. The measurement is stored in magnetic tape for processing.
