ABSTRACT: The mathematical model developed by the Southern Pacific Transportation Co. (SPTCo) during the course of Phase I of the Truck Design Optimization Project (TDOP) is discussed. The equations of motion for a slightly simpler model with simpler nomenclature, which resulted from MITRE/METREK's review of the SPTCo model, are developed and presented.
