ABSTRACT: The F40PH test program Test Data comprises two volumes organized by test phase and by type of vehicle tested for repetitive runs at various speeds on selected curves, and by over-the-road tests of many curves. Volumes I contain data from test Part A in the form of computer printouts of statistically analyzed samples of 16 principal measurements. Table 2 identifies the channel number on the computer printout corresponding to each measurement. For each of the curves analyzed, the statistical analysis is developed separately for the tangent proceeding the curve, entry spiral, curves body and exit spiral. The EDAS analysis request form included after each section divider identifies the printout for each trangent, spiral and curve body by file number and record interval. For each pass on the curve, the analysis is performed for both the locomotive and test coach. About two thousand measurements per volume have been analyzed for minimum, maximum, 1st, 5th, 95th and 99th percentile levels, average, standard deviation and rms value.
