The FRA prepared the NEC FUTURE Record of Decision (ROD) in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act and other applicable laws and regulations. The ROD documents the FRA’s decision to select a corridor-wide vision for the Northeast Corridor (NEC) that encompasses improvements to grow the role of rail within the transportation system of the Northeast (the Selected Alternative). The Selected Alternative is a corridor-wide vision for the NEC to achieve modern, efficient passenger rail service for travelers on the NEC.
